The WIRDMX5I is a 2-pair, 24AWG control cable designed for permanent installation of compatible architectural remote stations and DMX-512 control wiring. Sold by the foot, it allows installers to size each cable run to the actual distance required within the building or lighting system.

Unlike flexible portable-station cable, WIRDMX5I is intended for fixed wiring applications where control cable is routed as part of the permanent installation. It can be used between compatible remote stations, control equipment, interface devices, or other locations where the specified remote or DMX-512 connection must remain in place as part of the facility infrastructure.

Selling the cable by the foot makes it practical for new construction, renovations, system expansions, and replacement wiring where run lengths can vary significantly from one location to another. It is especially useful in theaters, churches and houses of worship, schools, auditoriums, meeting spaces, and multi-purpose facilities with distributed architectural control stations.

WIRDMX5I provides a straightforward cabling solution for permanent remote-station and DMX-512 installations while allowing the wiring layout to be tailored to the building. It replaces the previous WIRDMX5 product designation.
